Robert Degle – Leglock defense & Guard retention
When you are assaulted by leglocks or sense your guard is being pressed, do you have a plan for protecting yourself that you are confident in, or do you panic and thrash around in pointless desperation?
Learn Robert Degle’s comprehensive leglock defense and guard retention method, which he devised while training with John Danaher in the Renzo Gracie Academy’s blue basement in New York City.
Any particular entanglement used to impede mobility in Ju-Jitsu may be thought of as a collection of wedges placed in a certain arrangement around our opponent’s body. As each knot is built in such a manner that it can only be untied by the particular and intentional actions of someone acting logically and with a strategy, we must come forward against entanglements in Ju-Jitsu with a well-designed plan of escape. Aimlessly thrashing around will do you no good and will put you in more danger than less.
This is my objective with this leglock defense and guard retention instructional: to give you, the student, the confidence to continue exploring the late stage of the leglock game knowing you have a well-planned escape strategy.
