Shoji Nishio Sensei is a unique aikido instructor who incorporates components from his significant expertise in judo, karate, iaido, and jojutsu in his martial-oriented interpretation of aikido. As part of his complete system, Nishio Sensei has also created a complicated sequence of bokken, jo, and iaido versions of essential techniques.

Part one goes over the entire set of gyakuhanmi katatedori techniques. Kaitennage, ikkyo, nikyo, sankyo, shihonage, yonkyo, iriminage, kotegaeshi, and sotomakikomi are among the methods exhibited.

The second phase of the presentation of shomenuchi techniques is presented in Part 4 of the Nishio Aikido videotape series.
