CLASSIFICATION OF COMPOST
The Compost Class registration is now available for the Fall 2015 Sessions, which run from September 17th through October 14th, 2015. Before registering, you must have completed the Life in the Soil Class. You may also enroll in The Compost Program as a self-paced class at any time and begin immediately.
How can you determine if anything labeled “compost” isn’t really compost? The distinction between good compost that benefits plants and decreased trash that frequently hurts plants will be addressed and shown. These seminars will teach you how to create amazing, biologically rich compost. One of the most common mistakes individuals make when constructing a compost pile is failing to grasp what affects temperature in compost piles. Learn how to manage composting such that turning (thermal piles) is minimal, worm-compost bins don’t develop flies and other bothersome pests, and you always end up with the exact biology your preferred plants require to flourish.
