This is the seventh in a series on the Yip Man system given by the Ving Tsun Museum (on the fourth DVD).

The Muk Yan Jong was one of the initial training items utilized in the Yip Man method.

Master Meng discusses the various types and dimensions of the Wooden Dummy in this volume, including the definition of the word ‘Jong,’ the nature of the Muk Yan Jong, specifics of the construction and location of each movement, right energy, and the application of each movement.

The Wooden Dummy is divided into eight pieces. Sections 1–4 of the Wooden Dummy are demonstrated and discussed in detail.

This book builds on the previous six volumes, taking you farther into the advanced level of training with an emphasis on appropriate structure, energy, and posture via Muk Yan Jong training, as well as the significance of technique names.

Throughout, the knowledge is given in a variety of styles – solo, partner demonstration, and application – allowing you to witness the simplicity, directness, and effectiveness of this Wing Chun lineage.
