Courses Content :
- Subject Matter: Short Course
Faculty: Gabrielle Peacock, MBBS | Category: Brief Therapy Conference | Brief Therapy Conference 2016
Original air date: December 8, 2016
This program will examine mental health issues through the lens of dissociation. Because each situation may be viewed as having an element of dissociation, learning to detect the dissociative features that cause suffering and assisting the client in gaining control of this portion of their experience can simply and briefly lessen suffering and aid healing. Demonstration and practice will transform this concept from a helpful concept to a lived experience that may subsequently be turned into a valuable tool.
Objectives of Education:
Explain the dissociative component of three frequent mental health presentations.
Demonstrate transferring a dissociated client to an associated state while saying the handles you see so they may grip them and gain control over their experience.
*Content and confidentiality may be modified during sessions*
